Material Handler

Key Responsibilities
- Keeps materials organized in a central laydown area and maintains inventory of stocked materials.
- Delivers materials from the laydown area to specific work locations as requested by field leaders.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment by organizing materials, removing debris, and recycling waste.
- Operates on-site equipment such as forklifts, telehandlers, and aerial lift platforms.
- Reports discrepancies or issues related to equipment operation to supervisors promptly.
- Supports logistics and warehouse teams by coordinating material movement as needed.
- Communicates effectively with field leaders and team members to fulfill material requests.
- Performs other general labor tasks as assigned to support site operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum: High school diploma or GED.
- Preferred: Warehouse or inventory coordination experience.
- No electrical field experience required.
- Equipment-specific training will be provided.
- OR an equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience that results in the successful performance of the job.
- Knowledge of inventory management and material handling best practices.
- Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and equipment operation protocols.
- Skills in operating forklifts, telehandlers, and aerial lift platforms (training provided).
- Skills in organizing, tracking, and maintaining accurate records of materials and tools.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing site needs.
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, field leaders, and logistics teams.
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety guidelines at all times.
Work Environment
A medium work environment. Indoor and outdoor work with exposure to uncomfortable and hazardous physical, ergonomic, and/or emotional environments. Requires lifting up to 50 pounds and wearing protective equipment; exposure to environmental conditions, weather, climbing, crawling, lying, and working under pressure.
