About the Role

The Material Handler is responsible for receiving incoming materials, verifying receipts against purchase order documentation for accurate piece count, and executing inventory functions to keep materials current and available to production. This includes putting material away, assigning and maintaining storage locations, performing inventory and location transactions within the Syteline ERP system, conducting cycle counts, and kitting material for assembly jobs. The role supports inventory accuracy, on-time material availability, and an organized material flow from receipt to point of use. When workload allows, the Material Handler also supports assembly operations as directed.

This position is based at our Antigo facility, which operates under ITAR/UNNPI regulations. Candidates must be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Unload and receive incoming materials, supplies, and equipment.
• Verify receipts against purchase orders, packing slips, and receiving documentation, confirming part numbers and piece count.
• Document and communicate discrepancies, damages, and shortages to Purchasing and/or Quality.
• Complete receipt transactions in the Syteline ERP system accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assign and maintain material storage locations, ensuring the physical location matches the ERP record.
• Perform inventory moves, transfers, and issue transactions in Syteline under established guidelines.
• Conduct cycle counts, research discrepancies, report findings and root cause, and process approved adjustments.
• Maintain overall inventory and location accuracy, including proper identification and labeling of parts.
• Pull and kit material for assembly jobs and work orders per the routing bill of material, and stage kits for the scheduled build at the point of use.
• Assist with assembly operations as receiving and material handling workload allows, following work instructions, drawings, and quality requirements.
• Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, manual lifts, and pallet jacks, safely and in accordance with training and certification requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company safety procedures.
• Follow all safety, quality, and ITAR/UNNPI handling requirements applicable to the Antigo facility.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in receiving, warehouse operations, or inventory management.
• Hands-on experience with material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks).
• Experience with cycle counting and inventory accuracy programs.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting, including assembly operations or incoming inspection, is a plus.

Work Environment

This role is performed in a manufacturing and warehouse setting. The employee will frequently be required to stand, walk, reach, and lift heavy items. The environment may include exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and machinery. Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required based on task and location.
