About the role

The Material Handler ensures the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the manufacturing facility, supporting continuous production flow by maintaining adequate supply levels and handling shipping and receiving activities.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move, locate, stack, and count materials.
• Load and unload trucks, inspect deliveries for accuracy and damage, and complete necessary documentation.
• Transport raw materials, components, and finished goods between storage, production, and shipping areas.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and perform cycle counts as needed.
• Stage material for production according to work orders and schedules.
• Follow safety protocols and company procedures to ensure a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
• Collaborate with production and warehouse teams to support workflow and minimize downtime.
• Perform basic equipment inspections and maintenance (e.g., forklift pre-checks).
• Assist in packaging, labeling, and palletizing finished products as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Valid forklift certification with demonstrated safe operating history.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs. and work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Basic math, reading, and computer skills (e.g., data entry, inventory systems).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
