Material Handler

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Supports inventories across multiple manufacturing departments, including glass movement and inventory transactions.
• Manages products in-process, including receiving, minor calculations, and preparation/transporting before and after external operations.
• Delivers material to different department stock shelves.
• Moves product in-process to different Inventory locations.
• Handles the requisition of product to and from outside processes (third party processing).
• Includes packaging and miscellaneous shipping order creation.
• Scraps product no longer needed.
• Supports product movement throughout the plant, supporting the Test and Finished Goods Inventory (FGI) departments.
• Delivers other raw materials and supplies throughout the facility as needed.
• Picks up and distributes clean room garments.
• Provides back-up & support for the Receiving and FGI team.
• Performs weekly cycle counting of inventory of MRO.
• Completes associated Oracle and Cumulus transactions for all the above items.

Education & Work Experience

• A minimum of 2 + years of work experience in a manufacturing setting, including inventory control, shipping and receiving experience.
• Led by Lean manufacturing principles and ability to drive a forklift is a plus.
• Proficient with MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, and technical manufacturing databases.
• Experience with Oracle/Agile (or other MRP/ERP systems) is required.
• Detail-oriented, methodical approach to task completion, with excellent organizational and inventory skills.
• Conscientious and able to work with minimal supervision but seek supervisory approval on non-routine tasks.
• Strong written / verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills are required.
• Responsible, energetic, and highly motivated.
• Highly organized and able to work on and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Team-oriented and works effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
• Engages effective working relationships with all levels of personnel in the organization while maintaining enthusiasm and a willingness to share ideas and learn.
