Material Handler
Cardinal Staffing Services is hiring a Material Handler for an elevator and escalator manufacturing company in Holland, OH. As a Material Handler, you will be an essential part of our client’s core operations, ensuring that materials are accurately received, stored, and delivered to support efficient production and high-quality output.
Responsibilities
- Receive, identify, and verify incoming shipments
- Store materials, supplies, tools, and equipment in designated areas
- Issue materials to appropriate departments as needed
- Prepare and package materials and equipment for shipment
- Load, unload, move, and organize materials using proper equipment
- Maintain accurate inventory records and participate in cycle counts
- Inspect materials for quality and report damaged or missing items
- Operate forklifts and other equipment (certification may be required)
- Assist with continuous improvement efforts and support team members
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Previous stand-up forklift experience required
- Ability to obtain operator certification within 60 days
- Inventory management experience, including cycle counting, preferred
- Familiarity with SAP, MRP, or ERP systems preferred
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Pay
$18.50 / hour
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–3:30 pm
- Overtime flexibility required: 6:00 am–4:00 pm
