About the role
Under direction loads, unloads, transports and organizes materials.
Responsibilities
- Loads and unloads trucks
- Transports materials to designated areas or locations
- Supplies production lines with needed materials.
- Understands Bill of Material (BOM) and/or part requirements in preparation for changeovers
- Performs other duties as assigned
Skills
- Ability to operate forklift efficiently and safety
- Ability to operate other material handling equipment
- Basic Computer Skills
- Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location
Requirements
- Education: High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Experience: Material Handling experience preferred
- Physical & Environmental: Some physical demand; often lifts light weight material. Rarely lifting/moving average weight (25-50 lbs/11-27 kgs) material. Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours). Ability to stand and/or walk constantly over a full work shift (8-12 hours). Exposure to noise levels for which hearing protection is required to be worn over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
