Material Handler

Customers include nearly all automobile manufacturers in Europe, North & South America, Asia, and Africa.

Responsibilities

• Maintain 5S standards
• Set a positive example in attitude, attendance, and safety practices
• Ensure material handlers and warehouse associates follow proper safety procedures
• Understand and assist in implementing and maintaining ISO14001 (EMS) and IATF16949 (QMS) standards and procedures
• Adhere to receiving processes and procedures
• Maintain FIFO (First In/First Out) for all material
• Perform forklift safety checks and maintain a safe, clean work environment; ensure inspection logs are up-to-date
• Unload trucks using a forklift or pallet jack, securing dock locks and chocks before entering
• Verify product identification (part numbers) and quantities match shipping documents
• Receive and unpack shipments, check for accuracy, and record shipments correctly; escalate and document discrepancies or damage
• Review SAP data and reports for accuracy and exception monitoring
• Receive products electronically into SAP, print and apply labels, and re-palletize products for storage as needed
• Assist in storing raw material in assigned warehouse bins
• Document and report incoming damaged freight; notify appropriate team members and complete hold tags for damaged material
• Perform material handling activities as directed
• Complete all other duties as assigned
