About the role
The Material Handler performs production replenishments of parts and supplies accurately and on time.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for picking orders for production and delivering those orders to the appropriate department in a timely manner
- Operates a handheld scanner to scan barcodes and accurately delivers materials to the production floor
- Reviews pick list and picks appropriate material for specific work centers
- Operates forklift, lift truck, side loaders, pallet trucks, picker and other loading/stacking equipment
- Responsible for daily inspection of forklifts and performs on-spot checking
- Performs daily cycle count checks and accurately report results
- Responsible for putting away incoming material to appropriate stocking locations
- Maintains and organizes warehouse storage including pallet consolidation and cleanliness of aisles
- Promote a safe workplace by performing all tasks in a safe and thoughtful manner in compliance with all rules, procedures, instructions, devices, equipment and use of appropriate personal protective equipment
- Maintain vigilance for any hazardous conditions or practices in the workplace and immediately report any unsafe condition or practice to your supervisor
- Performs other duties as directed

- Knowledge of company products in terms of part numbers and production drop zone routes and locations
- Well-versed in warehouse, shipping, and receiving functions
- Ability to safely drive a forklift and picker
- Familiar with delivery methods such as Fed Ex, UPS, or freight truck
- Proficient in Data Entry
- Knowledge of operating lift trucks, side loaders, pallet trucks, and other loading/stacking equipment
- Solid understanding of mathematics
- Proficient in Warehouse Management System, AS400, and CP scanner
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 6+ months of warehouse experience
