About the role
As Material Handler, you keep material moving. You’re the supply line for a lean field team — the person who makes sure crews never wait on pipe, fittings, tools, or consumables. Receiving, staging, delivering — right material, right place, right time, every day. High ownership.
Responsibilities
- Receiving — unloading, inspecting, and verifying deliveries against POs; shortages and damage flagged before they hit a crew
- Material traceability — heat numbers, MTRs, and material tags matched and legible
- Staging — pipe, spools, fittings, and consumables staged by crew and work area ahead of the daily plan
- Deliveries — material and tools moved to active work fronts all shift; loads secured and hauled DOT-compliant, trailers included
- Inventory & organization — laydown yards, conexes, and warehouse kept clean, identified, and protected; consumables tracked and reordered before they run out
- Equipment — forklifts, telehandlers, and pallet jacks operated safely; daily inspections and basic care
- Safety — toolbox talks, proper rigging and lifting, PPE, and client site rules — including sanitation boundaries in operating food plants
