Job Dimensions
This position supports all production operations to optimize output and minimize waste, while maintaining excellent quality and safety standards.
Principal Accountabilities
- Employs safe forklift operation and maneuvering skills to move materials.
- Completes and properly files neat and accurate paperwork to maintain traceability.
- Completes housekeeping, tow motor and hoist inspections.
- Package and wrap Finished Goods to specific Customer requirements.
- Issue and receive raw and sub-assembly material to production floor.
- Pack and wrap Finished Goods to specific Customer requirements.
- Provide rollstock and pallets to production floor.
- Maintain movement of Work in Process off machines, and pallet IDs as needed.
- Maintain clean and safe work area.
- Understand, adhere to, and reinforce EHS policies and directives.
- Remain alert and responsive to equipment and product problems.
- Anticipate and react productively to changes and handle other tasks as assigned.
- Seek and implement improvement activities through teamwork and the CI process.
- Demonstrate willingness to perform multiple functions within a shift, as production requires.
- Complete the proper system transactions and distribute appropriate paperwork.
- Keep equipment stocked with appropriate material and return materials to the warehouse.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Knowledge and Experience: 2+ years forklift experience, Computer and Software knowledge, Experience working in a warehouse / manufacturing environment.
- Education and Certifications: High School diploma or equivalent required, Fork Lift Operator Certification preferred.
