Material Handler

About the role

The material handler at AGI is responsible for maintaining production and distribution of products by managing inventory, preparing shipments, and operating various material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials into crates; recording location of inventory in Lots, and ensuring safe, quality storage, packaging and shipment of equipment and materials.
• Locates materials and components by pulling and verifying materials and listed on production orders.
• Pulls inventory from work centers and stages by shipment in Lot.
• Packs finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
• Documents product shipment by recording units shipped, taking clean, clear pictures of all shipments.
• Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections; making operator repairs.
• Able to certify on large equipment operation; Telehandler and other forklifts.
• Safely moves extremely large pieces of equipment using overhead cranes, forklifts and Tellahandler.
• Takes pictures and logs completed equipment.
• Endures extreme weather conditions, Very Hot Summer to Very Cold Winter days.
• Builds crates and pallets following all safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
• Six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Forklift experience is required.
