About the role

AESC is a global leader in battery technology and energy storage solutions, supporting the world's leading electric vehicle manufacturers through its Blythewood, South Carolina facility. This position supports the AESC Blythewood repack operation by moving materials, WIP, and finished goods, ensuring timely and accurate movement.

Shift availability

We are hiring for both 1st Shift and 2nd Shift. Shift assignment will be discussed during the interview process. Candidates must be available for their assigned shift and willing to support cross-shift coverage as needed.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate sit-down and/or stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and other powered industrial trucks to move materials, WIP, and finished goods within the facility.
  • Receive incoming shipments, verify quantities and condition against purchase orders and packing lists, and document discrepancies.
  • Stage materials and components at production line points per production schedules and kanban signals.
  • Transport outbound finished goods and repacked battery units to designated staging and shipping areas.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and perform cycle counts as assigned.
  • Operate within the facility's Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) requirements, maintaining documentation accuracy for all material movements.
  • Inspect material handling equipment daily and report defects or safety concerns prior to operation.
  • Maintain warehouse and storage areas in accordance with 5S and housekeeping standards.
  • Support shipping and receiving functions including labeling, scanning, and system data entry.
  • Follow all safety procedures for handling, transporting, and storing EV battery modules, including required PPE.
  • Comply with all AESC safety policies and immediately report any safety incidents, near-misses, or property damage.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 1 year of forklift operation experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment.
  • Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification upon hire (AESC will provide training).
  • Ability to operate sit-down and stand-up counterbalance forklift.
  • Basic computer and RF scanner proficiency for inventory and shipping system use.
  • Ability to read packing lists, work orders, and inventory labels accurately.
  • Strong commitment to safety and compliance with company and regulatory requirements.

The work environment is primarily an automated manufacturing plant with a concrete floor and is characterized by some temperature extremes, moderate noise, and forklift traffic.
