Material Handler

Aerometals Inc. of El Dorado Hills, California is a veteran of commercial and military aerospace manufacturing founded in 1984. We offer a full range of production services including CNC machining and turning, sheet metal fabrication, welding, assembly, autoclave, and precision assembly. Customers include the US Military, Boeing, Lockheed, and Sikorsky.

About the role

The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate the ability to perform real-time systematic transactions for receiving material, moving material, and managing production manufacturing problems with travelers.

Responsibilities

• Process material requisitions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
• Safely move material from one location to the next utilizing material handling equipment such as hand trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, or other available equipment.
• Perform physical inventory counts and report results accurately.
• Identify product by tagging or other methods to ensure traceability.
• Ensure products in stores and inventory are adequately protected against damage and deterioration.
• Maintain stores and inventory area organized and productive.
• Communicate concisely and effectively.
• Perform other duties as required by the organization.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in receiving.
• On-the-job training provided.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of material management within a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 standards.
• Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing dynamics.
• Exceptional organization, coordination, and time management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other ERP systems.
• Ability to use and perform multiple data entry functions daily.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Pay

$22 - $26 hourly

Schedule

Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 4:30pm & Friday 7:00am - 12:00pm
