ADB is seeking a Material Handler to provide general handling, tracking, and organization support of various utility construction materials and equipment within a warehouse and/or construction yard setting. This position directly supports construction operations teams with all material loading/unloading, organization, shop cleanliness, yard maintenance, etc. The ideal candidate will be customer- and quality-centric, have a complete buy-in to safety, a strong work ethic, and an ALL IN attitude to achieve results.
Responsibilities
- Performs general manual labor moving materials, tools, and equipment within a construction yard and/or warehouse environment including loading, unloading, organizing, etc.
- Builds strong relationships to be a dependable partner to internal crews and external subcontractors for all their material/equipment needs.
- Safely operates a forklift, backhoe, and/or other various equipment.
- Delivers various construction materials, tools, and/or equipment onsite to active project sites upon request.
- Has general knowledge and experience of various utility construction materials to ensure accuracy when issuing out equipment.
- Adheres to all material and equipment tracking standards and expectations.
- Maintains yard and shop cleanliness, which could include trash pickup, mowing, weed eating, shoveling, sweeping, and office cleaning.
- Supports management teams on gathering pricing of various materials, tools, and/or equipment upon request.
- Upholds safety as the expectation; demonstrates complete buy-in and adherence to the safety culture by leading by example and actively participating in pre-task, good catch, and safety assessment standards.
- Performs other position duties when requested.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience within a Material Handling/Logistics and/or Inventory position required.
- Previous experience within utility construction preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to drive a company vehicle required (CDL strongly preferred).
- Forklift Certification strongly preferred (ability to obtain within 90 days of hire required).
- High School diploma or equivalent required.

Work Environment
- Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions like sitting, squatting, standing, walking, climbing, etc.
- May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels while onsite.
- This is a safety-sensitive position; when working onsite, will be required to wear common protective or safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and steel-toed boots.
