Responsibilities
- Delves into material and pulls orders using established RF/warehouse procedures to fulfill orders.
- Responsible for unloading product (using both a forklift and hand loading) and putting away product accurately to designated areas within the warehouse.
- Checks in any incoming product using established RF/warehouse procedures for receiving, ensuring deliveries match the company purchase order.
- Maintains order pulling and inventory accuracy goals.
- Prepares and assembles products as needed for custom non-stock orders.
- Safely and efficiently operates equipment and machinery such as a forklift, pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment.
- Maintains the warehouse in an orderly and clean state, and complies with all company safety policies and procedures.
- Assists with will-call service by helping load customer orders, or unloads material that is being returned using branch procedures and protocols.
- Supports "kitting" related duties which include but are not limited to: building transfers or work orders for kitting as specified by the customer, labeling material, assist with customized packaging solutions, etc. May assist with conducting cycle counts as needed.
- Collaborates with Warehouse Management and team members to optimize workflow.
- Participates in any relevant material handling training as assigned by the Company.
- Performs other related duties within the warehouse as assigned by Management.
Qualifications
- A minimum of one year experience in a similar position is preferred.
- Previous experience in material handling, warehousing or logistics is a plus.
- Experience with RF devices is a plus.
- Basic understanding of inventory systems and order processing is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with forklift and ability to maintain forklift certification.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic math and reading skills (in English) to interpret work orders, inventory labels, and safety information.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
Physical Requirements
- The employee is regularly required to sit; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel computer equipment; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; use hands and arms to reach for, grasp and manipulate objects; stand, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl;
- May be required to move or traverse considerable distances in the facility during the course of a workday;
- Must have the physical abilities to perform essential warehouse tasks;
- Must have good physical fitness with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. to a height of 3-4 feet and load product into trucks;
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for an extended period of time;
- Ability to ascend/descend a ladder to pull or put away product from shelving and racking;
- Ability to safely operate a dolly, pallet jack and/or forklift in loading and unloading supplies.
Working Conditions
- Warehouse setting with exposure to varying temperatures and conditions;
- Fast paced environment with frequent physical activity;
- Safety PPE such as gloves, safety glasses and safety toed boots are required.
