Material Handler

About the role

The material handler is responsible for the picking, delivery and inventory management of parts and materials within an aircraft hangar environment. Primary location: Greensboro, North Carolina (AAR Aircraft Services).

Responsibilities

• Pick materials per picking assignments generated by customer orders.
• Deliver materials to assigned customers via forklift and or motorized cart.
• Assign materials to locations in hangars and associated aircraft.
• Operate forklift to move materials.
• Un-load trucks and count receipts for accuracy.
• Inventory materials.
• Report damage upon receipts.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, or individual admitted as refugee or granted asylum) and comply with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of warehouse shipping, receiving, or inventory picking experience preferred.
• Possess computer skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with warehousing and supply chain management programs preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing in standard English.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds and comply with OSHA standards.
• Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, twist, lift, and move about the facility.
• Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
• Work environment is a warehouse setting.
