Material Handler - Aftermarket

About the role

The Material Handler - Aftermarket at Cleaver Brooks is responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing materials. This includes sorting, weighing, preparing shipments, and maintaining accurate inventory records.

Responsibilities

• Counts, sorts, or weighs incoming articles to verify receipt of items on purchase orders.
• Prepares outgoing shipments.
• Examines stock to verify visual conformance to specifications.
• Stores articles in bins, on floor, or on shelves according to identifying information such as style, size, or type of material.
• Pulls work orders.
• Prepares periodic, special, or perpetual inventory of stock.
• Affixes labels to stock and prepares shipping documents.
• Distributes stock to work centers, keeping records of material transferred/used.
• Assists in following up and tracing lost, misplaced, or misdirected material.
• Operates material handling equipment, such as forklifts, two-wheelers, and overhead cranes.
• Maintains tool storage areas in an orderly condition.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Must have the ability to lift and push/pull material as required to count, sort, reconcile, prepare, put away, or ship parts. Must know, understand, and abide by all safety rules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
• Knowledge of material handling equipment and procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
