Material Handler - 3rd Shift
About the role
Velosity Forest Lake is searching for a Material Handler to support our manufacturing facility in Forest Lake, MN on 3rd shift. This role will prepare and maintain the supply of raw material, packaging and component items for production.
Schedule
- Shift: 3rd Sunday – Thursday, 11:00 pm – 7:30 am
Pay
- Base pay range: $21.01 – $28.00 per hour
- Eligible for a 5% quarterly bonus target

Qualifications
- Preferred: High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience
- Valid identification and the ability to work legally in the United States
- Minimum 1 year of experience in plastic injection molding preferred
- Knowledge of proper use of forklift, pallet jacks, scales and other shipping equipment
- Working knowledge of inventory control systems including bar code systems
- Working knowledge of all types of materials
- Ability to multitask and run several projects simultaneously without losing the ability to complete them on time
- Basic computer skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and lot history trees by properly moving and electronically tracking materials per system requirements
- Mix, batch, and/or blend material for production while working closely with set-up techs and/or process engineers
- Maintain material handling equipment and identify equipment needing repair
- Designate material for production runs; allocate required raw materials based on BOM using IQMS/WMS
- Return material to stock after production is complete and assign it a location in the warehouse
- Reconcile material usage at the end of a work order
- Communicate with Purchasing and Scheduling any shortages or discrepancies
- Cycle count raw materials and packaging supplies
- Maintain and update IQMS system for material per production run, transfers and back flushes
- Perform all material handling with little or no supervision
- Recommend changes to improve productivity and/or quality
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Physical & Mental Demands
- Walking is required within the office/shop areas
- Sitting, standing, turning the head and torso, reaching, grasping, bending and flexing the arms, legs, wrists, and fingers are physical requirements
- Must have correctable eyesight and good depth perception
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to walk, sit and occasionally climb and balance
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and move objects in a safe manner using proper equipment
- Must have dexterity with hands
- Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and complete them within a timely manner
- Ability to make decisions with limited information and supervision
Work Environment
This is a non-smoking, professional manufacturing facility with normal lighting and climate control. The position requires working on a manufacturing floor where the employee may be subject to airborne contaminants and chemical odors.
