Responsibilities
- Retrieve products from designated storage locations within the warehouse, including moving materials safely using pallet jacks
- Accurately read work order or follow oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be picked, packaged, and shipped
- Accurately identify items based on order specifications and ensure the correct quantity is selected
- Pack all materials into appropriate containers based on specific packing requirements
- Ensure materials are packed effectively to avoid damage during transit
- Collaborate with shipping carriers to facilitate the timely dispatch of packages
- Conduct visual inspections of products during the picking and packing stages to identify any defects or discrepancies, and log required quality verifications using torque testers, Hipot equipment, and hydrostatic testers
- Utilize inventory management systems to update stock levels and communicate any shortages or overages, as needed
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support team goals and project milestones
- Accurately read pick tickets and receiving documents, or follow oral instructions to ascertain required materials
- Accurately identify items based on receiving specifications and ensure the correct quantities are selected
- Pick all received materials onto appropriate carts based on manufacturing location or receiving requirements
- Ensure materials are packed or staged effectively to avoid damage during put-away or picking processes
- Collaborate with vendor carriers to facilitate the timely arrival of incoming materials
- Conduct visual inspections of products during receiving to identify any defects or discrepancies
Qualifications
- Ability to multitask with attention to detail in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Possess a strong work ethic and self-motivated attitude
- Possess the ability to lift up to 30 lbs. on a consistent basis
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to read and comprehend written work instructions
- Ability to read and comprehend receiving documents and follow written or verbal receiving instructions
- Ability to conduct repetitive movements of lightweight parts (up to 30 pounds/part)
- Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Able to interact with others in a respectful and collaborative manner
- Adequate reading and following of written instructions from an operation manual
