Duties

  • Picks and scans all material to fulfill a day’s production or runs hot parts for material shortages on the production line.
  • Delivers completed part box or hot parts to a staging area or to the plant.
  • Reports inventory issues to your Leader.
  • Participates in returning extra parts to proper location in warehouse.
  • Properly identifies and locates all parts according to established procedures.
  • Maintains Division metric requirements.
  • Participates in morning meeting/Safety Huddle.
  • Completes equipment maintenance checklist.

Essential Functions

  • Works as a part of a team to achieve the company’s overall goals.
  • Demonstrates clear verbal and written communication skills (English).
  • Reads and processes written communication including, but not limited to, work orders, delivery receipts, prints, and measurements.
  • Mets production goals and time deadlines.
  • Works with minimum supervision.
  • Operates a forklift.
  • Is highly organized.
  • Exhibits tact and diplomacy and maintains professional relationships with supervisors, fellow employees, customers, etc.
  • Deals with climate extremes (temperature, precipitation, etc).
  • Prioritizes and adapts to changes through the day.
  • Reads and understands daily schedules.
  • Performs forklift housekeeping and daily forklift inspection.
  • Works indoors and outdoors.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly talks and hears.
  • Very active - stands, walks, bends, kneels, stoops, crouches, crawls, balances, reaches, handles, and climbs all day.
  • Lifts and/or moves items over 50 pounds.

Supervisory Responsibility

This role does not have any supervisory responsibility upon hiring.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time hourly position, and hours of work and days are based upon the need to support operations and production. Some Saturdays will be mandatory.

Travel

There is no travel required for this position.

Required Education And Experience

  • High school degree or GED (not necessary).
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • LCI Forklift License Required (Offered once hired).

Preferred Education And Experience

  • 1-3 months related work experience and/or training.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos preferred.
