Responsibilities
- Receive, pick, stage, load, or return correct warehouse items using equipment as required
- Uses automated picker machines to select and move units as available
- Reads production work orders and scans and stages material accordingly
- Inspects for accuracy and updates units in inventory system to ensure accuracy of site inventory
- Trains Material Handler I and II level positions on products, process, procedures and using equipment
- Inspects unit for quality/all defects and makes repairs for minor and/or major damage on products if found
- Loads product on delivery trucks when required
- Uses a hand-held scanner to receive, move, identify and pick/pull correct materials from designated bin locations
- Moves any damaged or non-conforming items to the appropriate area for reclaim or return to vendor
- Uses a sit-down or standup forklift, swing-reach, scissor lift and/or order picker required as well as maintains appropriate certification
- Performs daily inspections of powered industrial equipment and reports maintenance issues to supervisor
- Views orders or product in inventory system to assist with daily tasks and troubleshoot issues
- Conducts all activities in a safe manner, adhering to company safety standards
- Meets standards for quality as set forth by the company by inspecting product as received, pulled and/or loaded
- Affirms proper housekeeping and organization on the docks and warehouse aisles
- Strives to meet team efficiencies for items pulled without compromising accuracy
- Identifies, renders disposition, and returns undamaged materials to warehouse locations
- Assists with inventory accuracy through cycle count programs and bin maintenance
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Four plus years related experience and previous certification on powered industrial trucks
Qualifications
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
