About the role

We are seeking a full-time Material Handler (2nd Shift) at Garmin's U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area.

Responsibilities

  • Loading, unloading, inputting data, processing shipping, consumer and retail returns, tracking orders and other inventory movement
  • Reboxing units for return to stock
  • Reworking/repairing product with accuracy
  • Maintaining a safe and clean warehouse work environment

Requirements

  • Ability to flex within warehouse functions including Raw Materials, Reverse Logistics and Finished Goods
  • Able to pull/audit material as required for KANBAN, shop order, move order or sales order requirements
  • Able to issue/transact material requested through material withdrawal forms
  • Able to receive, transact, and sort inbound material
  • Able to do replenishment of material into primary picking locations
  • Able to ensure First in/First Out (FIFO) and Last in/First Out (LIFO) policies are adhered to as defined in departmental procedures
  • Able to follow Electronic Static Discharge (ESD) guidelines for static sensitive materials if applicable
  • Able to pack materials to ensure adequate delivery to internal/external customers
  • Able to perform cycle counts as required
  • Able to operate RF device to transact and move material
  • Able to meet quality/productivity metrics
  • Able to perform housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe work environment
  • Able to accept responsibility for work assignments and job duties and to be held accountable for their successful completion
  • Able to work variable and flexible hours including overtime
  • Able to comply with Garmin’s Attendance Policy
  • Able to operate one or two pieces of powered industrial equipment safely/efficiently such as a dock stocker or powered pallet jack depending on departmental responsibilities
  • Able to bend, twist and lift up to 55 pounds while using safe lifting techniques, standing for an entire shift, and walking long distances throughout the facility
  • Able to visually distinguish minor cosmetic imperfections and defects on Garmin products

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to bend, twist and lift up to 55 pounds while using safe lifting techniques, standing for an entire shift, and walking long distances throughout the facility
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency

  • RF Scanner
  • Microsoft Excel and Access
  • Oracle Experience
