About the role
We are seeking a full-time Material Handler (2nd Shift) at Garmin's U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area.
Responsibilities
- Loading, unloading, inputting data, processing shipping, consumer and retail returns, tracking orders and other inventory movement
- Reboxing units for return to stock
- Reworking/repairing product with accuracy
- Maintaining a safe and clean warehouse work environment
Requirements
- Ability to flex within warehouse functions including Raw Materials, Reverse Logistics and Finished Goods
- Able to pull/audit material as required for KANBAN, shop order, move order or sales order requirements
- Able to issue/transact material requested through material withdrawal forms
- Able to receive, transact, and sort inbound material
- Able to do replenishment of material into primary picking locations
- Able to ensure First in/First Out (FIFO) and Last in/First Out (LIFO) policies are adhered to as defined in departmental procedures
- Able to follow Electronic Static Discharge (ESD) guidelines for static sensitive materials if applicable
- Able to pack materials to ensure adequate delivery to internal/external customers
- Able to perform cycle counts as required
- Able to operate RF device to transact and move material
- Able to meet quality/productivity metrics
- Able to perform housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe work environment
- Able to accept responsibility for work assignments and job duties and to be held accountable for their successful completion
- Able to work variable and flexible hours including overtime
- Able to comply with Garmin’s Attendance Policy
- Able to operate one or two pieces of powered industrial equipment safely/efficiently such as a dock stocker or powered pallet jack depending on departmental responsibilities
- Able to bend, twist and lift up to 55 pounds while using safe lifting techniques, standing for an entire shift, and walking long distances throughout the facility
- Able to visually distinguish minor cosmetic imperfections and defects on Garmin products
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to bend, twist and lift up to 55 pounds while using safe lifting techniques, standing for an entire shift, and walking long distances throughout the facility
- Demonstrated computer proficiency

- RF Scanner
- Microsoft Excel and Access
- Oracle Experience
