Warehouse Material Handler (2nd Shift)

About the role

We are seeking a full-time Material Handler (2nd Shift) at Garmin's U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area.

Responsibilities

• Loading, unloading, inputting data, processing shipping, consumer and retail returns, tracking orders and other inventory movement
• Reboxing units for return to stock
• Reworking/repairing product with accuracy while maintaining a safe and clean warehouse work environment
• Flexibility within warehouse functions including Raw Materials, Reverse Logistics and Finished Goods
• Accuracy of inventory, transactions, and material movement
• Pulling/auditing material as required for KANBAN, shop order, move order or sales order requirements
• Issuing/transacting material requested through material withdrawal forms
• Receiving, transacting, and sorting inbound material
• Replenishing material into primary picking locations
• Ensuring FIFO and LIFO policies are adhered to as defined in departmental procedures
• Following ESD guidelines for static sensitive materials if applicable
• Packing materials to ensure adequate delivery to internal/external customers
• Performing cycle counts as required
• Operating RF device to transact and move material
• Accepting responsibility for work assignments and job duties and being held accountable for their successful completion
• Working variable and flexible hours including overtime
• Complying with Garmin’s Attendance Policy
• Operating one or two pieces of powered industrial equipment safely/efficiently such as a dock stocker or powered pallet jack depending on departmental responsibilities
• Maintaining a safe work environment through cleanliness zone area requirements
• Using RF Scanner
• Demonstrated computer proficiency

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to bend, twist and lift up to 55 pounds while using safe lifting techniques, standing for an entire shift, and walking long distances throughout the facility
• Ability to use RF Scanner
• Demonstrated computer proficiency

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse or related experience
• Database experience including Microsoft Excel and Access
• Previous Oracle Experience
