About the role

We are adding a Material Handler to our team to support our continued growth. This is a full-time position based in Toledo, Ohio, offering competitive wages, growth opportunities, and a clean, safe work environment.

Schedule

This position works a rotating 2-2-3 schedule with 12-hour shifts (5:00 PM – 5:00 AM):

  • Week 1: Work 2 days, off 2 days, work 3 days
  • Week 2: Off 2 days, work 2 days, off 3 days

This rotation includes every other weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). Overtime is required, including daily, weekends, and some holidays.

Pay

  • $20/hour
  • $1.50 shift premium (2nd shift)

Responsibilities

  • Load and/or unload incoming/outgoing materials.
  • Set up expedites for shipment to customers as needed.
  • Coordinate transportation of parts to/from various TTD locations for Hot Loads or Sorting activity.
  • Prepare documentation such as bills of lading and shipping orders to route materials.
  • Examine contents and compare records (manifests, invoices, or orders) to verify accuracy of shipments.
  • Plan work assignments and equipment allocations to meet transportation, operations, or production goals.
  • Review orders, production schedules, or shipping notices to determine work sequences and material shipping details.
  • Inspect materials, stock, vehicles, equipment, or facilities for safety, defects, or compliance with specifications.
  • Coordinate forklift and Raymond repairs with vendors in a timely fashion.
  • Train or retrain operators in the proper use of material handling equipment.
  • Resolve worker problems or collaborate with employees to assist in problem resolution.
  • Recommend personnel actions, such as employee selection, evaluation, rewards, or disciplinary actions.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Perform all duties of a Material Handler or Dock Auditor.
  • Authority to stop production if unsafe parts or conditions appear.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by a Supervisor or Manager.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
  • Experience operating large industrial equipment is preferred.
  • Forklift Operator certificate or completion of a forklift training program within the first 30 days of employment (for sit-down and stand-up lifts).
  • Six months of warehousing and inventory experience preferred.
  • Six months of experience operating a forklift and/or stand-up lift preferred.
  • Physical ability to mount/dismount forklifts, requiring bending, stretching, stepping, reaching, climbing, stooping, standing, walking, crouching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow directions/instructions.
  • Ability to use automated inventory control equipment.
  • Must pass pre-employment screening (background check and drug screen).
  • Must be able to work overtime (daily, weekends, and holidays).
  • Must be able to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Must report for work on time to support production startup.
