Material Handler (2nd Shift)

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Distribute parts and materials to the line in a timely and efficient manner.
• Absorb physical receiving per supervisor request.
• Assist in cycle counts and bagging.
• Process material request forms in ICIM.
• Check for accurate transfer of quantity and location.
• Operate forklift as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Write on board replenishment stock needs from offsite.
• Put away and transfer offsite stock once staged in warehouse.
• Stack small boxes neatly in crates.
• Listen for receiving bell and assist with offloading pallet truck.
• Put away all receiving that has green cones before the end of the shift.
• Assist with punching plates in kitting when slow.
• Your job responsibilities are not to assess what other shifts have done. Your job is to do what's in front of you for the day and make sure all product with green cones is put away.
• At the start of the shift, ensure any forklifts you are not using are put on charge before starting work.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide backup for the inventory controls specialist and assist in kitting when slow.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required (normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent).
• Knowledge of Excel and Bartender to make labels for product and crates.
• Basic knowledge of the metric system, computer, and ICIM program.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds required.
