Material Handler- 2nd Shift

Responsibilities

• Transports product to and from designated areas in the facility
• Ensures proper storage and retrieval
• Consolidates product in location
• Moves goods packed on pallets or in crates around the facility
• Returns overstock to proper locations and performs stock checks
• Rents shipments into igus system
• Stacks goods in the correct locations by following inventory control instructions
• Checks loads are secure
• Stacks empty pallets
• Performs daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck’s battery
• Examines products to verify conformance to quality standards
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Prior forklift operation experience preferred
• Reliable attendance record required
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed to satisfy customer needs
• Good math, language and reading skills; basic computer skills may be required
• A high degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment
• Ability to follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records
• Ability to execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner
• Ability to maintain a clean & safe environment
