Material Handler (2nd shift)

Major Responsibilities Prepares and loads product as part of pre-shipping and shipping processesReceives incoming materials, performs verification and receiving processesMoves and stores materials/product using warehouse locating systemsMoves materials/product/dunnage in support of production operationsPackages product for shipmentOperates material handling equipment to include sitdown and standup forktrucks/forkliftsPerforms material handling duties of all typesPerforms cycle counts and other audits as requiredDisposes of scrap packaging utilizing equipment such as a compactorExercises safe work habitsPerforms other duties as assigned Qualifications / Key Skills And Abilities Sought Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and warehousing operations, experience desiredAbility to operate material handling equipment in a safe and courteous manner, as well as, successfully complete a driving assessment and pass an OSHA approved certification programExperience and proficiency in operating sitdown and stand-up forklifts preferredKnowledge of inventory and warehousing concepts that promote effectivenessAble to lift waist high up to 70lbs. and to handle various materials/productAbility and willingness to work outdoors year ‘roundAbility to perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipmentAbility to meet performance standards by adhering to established work proceduresAbility to identify and report problems/concerns while recommending solutionsAbility to function as an effective team memberAbility to attend work on a regular basisHigh school diploma or GED from an accredited program We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
