What You’ll Do
- Fulfills multiple roles in the Distribution Center environment to process Inbound / Work in process and/or Outbound freight.
- Performs tasks such as Receiving, Labeling, Put away, Order Picking, Slotting, Replenishment, and critical ship today sure order fulfillment.
- Selects and retrieves the correct items from warehouse shelves using electronic WMS.
- Counts and verifies the quantity of goods to fulfill orders through electronic WMS.
- Inspects and verifies material picked/put away for visual damage.
- Stores materials in designated locations and ensures proper organization and labeling.
- Loads, inspects, and verifies outbound materials against shipments/bill of ladings.
- Safely operates forklifts (reach and/or order/cherry pickers, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment).
- Resolves discrepancies and follows written and oral instructions.
- Maintains quality workmanship, observes safety procedures, reports unsafe acts, and performs work of equal or lower classification if necessary.
- Uses RF scanner and computer keyboard as required.
- Maintains a basic level of physical fitness to lift 50 pounds without assistance.
- Engages in continuous standing, bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
- Supports and participates in continuous improvement initiatives including 5S (sort, set, shine, standardize, and sustain).
- Manages multiple tasks efficiently and without loss of productivity.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment.
- Good physical condition and the ability to lift heavy objects.
- Certification of powered industrial equipment is necessary.
- 1 year's experience in a warehouse/distribution center environment, preferably driving reach truck and/or order/cherry picker.
- Oracle Warehouse Management System experience preferred.
- 3 years' experience in a warehouse/distribution center environment.
