Pay
Material Handler I - $19.50/hour
Material Handler II - $20.50/hour
Responsibilities
- Handle all material needs, primarily picking warehouse parts and delivering them to assembly areas to ensure efficient production.
- Work closely with production lines to ensure full utilization of people, materials, and equipment to meet customer demand.
- Achieve company standards for Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement (CI), and Productivity.
- Work under general supervision with well-defined tasks while following company procedures, processes, and policies.
- Participate in metric boards measuring Safety, Quality, CI, and Productivity; work is reviewed for accuracy.
- Complete and retain all required training.
- Resolve problems with assistance from peers or supervisors depending on the level and complexity.
- Follow defined procedures and practices.
- Participate in 5S programs based on visual control to determine if an area is normal or abnormal; fix abnormal areas immediately.
- Complete forklift daily per procedure.
- Maintain good attendance per policy.
Qualifications
Material Handler I - Minimum Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience
- Follow and adhere to company policies
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to effectively work in a team environment
- Effective communication skills
- Basic PC knowledge
- Ability to identify and resolve basic problems
- Ability to perform basic reading, writing, and math functions
- High school diploma or equivalent
Material Handler II - Minimum Qualifications
- 1-3 years' experience
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication skills
- Intermediate PC knowledge
- Ability to identify and resolve intermediate problems
- Ability to operate all forklift or other equipment to transport materials
- Ability to enter/maintain/transact materials in company ERP program
Material Handler III - Minimum Qualifications
- 2 to 5 years' experience
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to operate all forklift or other equipment to transport materials
- Ability to learn and use problem-solving tools in everyday work
- Previous experience coaching and training other employees
- Experience leading and forming teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience and ability to operate a forklift or other equipment to transport materials
- Ability to enter/maintain/transact materials in company ERP program
Level of Independence
- Report to Materials Supervisor and will take direction from the Materials Leads.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls.
- Regularly required to stand and walk.
- Occasionally required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders.
- Must occasionally lift up to 25-50 pounds.
- Typical conditions include frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
