About the role

We are seeking an experienced Material Handler to join our dynamic team at Harmar. Our mission is to enhance the independence and quality of life for individuals with mobility challenges through the creation of accessible products.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve the daily scheduled production.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly work environment.
  • Report component part shortages to Supply Chain and Production Manager promptly.
  • Assess adequacy of component part stocking levels.
  • Participate in the coordination of the flow of products throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Motivate team members to maximize their potential and support project execution.
  • Safety: Report any unsafe conditions to the Material Supervisor, Production Manager, or Director. Correct unsafe conditions upon detection.
  • Follow all company safety regulations.
  • Quality: Follow all applicable quality standards rigorously. Inspect, audit, and verify the quality of manufactured products. Immediately report any product or system quality deficiencies to the Production Manager and the Quality Engineer.

Requirements

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated reliability, strong attendance, and the ability to maintain a consistent work schedule.
  • Must be able to pass a background and drug screen (including THC).
  • Read pick lists (English) and pull parts, verifying the accuracy of counts to maintain inventory integrity.
  • Able to lift up to 70 pounds to pack, build, and ship pallets.
  • Pack product into boxes, preparing them for shipping.
  • Build and stack product on pallets.
  • Clean up the warehouse floor and dispose of trash and cardboard throughout the day.
  • Use handheld scan guns for inventory transfers to maintain inventory integrity.
  • Able to use a pallet jack.
  • Certified in forklift or willing to obtain certification (this is not a forklift-only position).
  • Experience using a Reach Truck.
  • Experience with a warehouse scanner.
  • Hands-on computer experience.
  • Experience using power tools.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

Work Environment

Non-climate-controlled warehouse. Stand 10 hours a day.

Hours/Pay

This is an hourly position - $19.00 - $22.00 with proven experience and which Materials position hired for. Monday - Thursday 6:00 am to 4:30 pm with two/three mandatory overtime Fridays per month. Monday - Friday 8:00 - 4:30 pm.
