Material Handler 1

Pay rate: $22.70 per hour (includes shift differential). Schedule: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM on a rotating shift, including weekends. Start pending successful background check.

Responsibilities

• Pallet/Case Picking: process customer orders by scanning bar codes, picking, and labeling boxes.
• Pick and pack orders using RF technology.
• Maintain work area per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and work instructions.
• Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as outlined in SOP.
• Complete RF device training to obtain necessary profiles.
• Verify accuracy and package shipments.
• Pallet Build: scan, retrieve, and place completed orders on pallets; re-palletize products for shipment.
• Perform dock manifest duties, including scanning completed pallets and operating the shrink wrapper.
• Transport pallets using motorized pallet jacks (Walkie Ryder) or by walking MHE.
• Follow all safety instructions and maintain safe working conditions.
• Maintain current status in C2C training modules.
• Understand and support organizational quality goals.
• Perform job activities safely and report any injuries, accidents, or unsafe conditions immediately.
• Maintain warehouse security and report suspicious activity.
• Keep work area clean and orderly; follow facility sanitation guidelines.
• Cross-train to assist with other warehouse positions as needed.

Requirements

• High School diploma, GED, or 1 year of relevant experience.
• Experience with Walkie Ryder (motorized pallet jack) preferred.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced distribution environment.
• Ability to read and interpret distribution documents.
• Ability to work well with others and under minimal supervision.
• Ability to operate MHE and use Voice/RF scanner.
• Ability to perform in a metrics-driven environment.
• Basic analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills.
• General distribution knowledge.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
• Must be able to perform essential functions of the position, with or without accommodation.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, balance, crouch, reach, push/pull, grasp, twist, and lift (up to 50 lbs in some areas).
• Frequent use of hands for finger, handle, feel, pick, or type, including repetitive motion of wrists, hands, or fingers.
• Occasionally required to climb.
• Exposure to work near moving mechanical equipment.
