Job Overview

Job Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, store, and issue materials and equipment according to project specifications and company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through a computerized inventory management system, performing regular cycle counts and reconciliations.
  • Cook up with project managers, procurement, and vendors to ensure material delivery schedules are met and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
  • Prepare and process necessary documentation for material requisitions, purchase orders, transfers, and returns.
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and preservation of materials, including hazardous materials, in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits of material stock to identify obsolete, damaged, or excess inventory and recommend disposition.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Aid in the loading and unloading of trucks and other vehicles.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the warehouse and storage areas.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding material status and potential issues.

Job Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; an associate's degree in a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in material coordination, warehousing, or logistics, preferably within the energy or construction industry.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Valid driver's license; forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain upon hire.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and work in various weather conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to material handling and storage.
