Qualifications
- Helper
- High School Diploma or GED Certificate
- 6–12 months experience in warehouse operation
- Enrollment in the Apprenticeship Program required
- Valid Driver’s License, CDL Learner’s Permit, or CDL Class “B” with Hazmat Endorsement (subject to motor-vehicle-record review)
- Must obtain CDL Class “B” with Hazmat Endorsement within 6 months of employment
- Apprentice
- High School Diploma or GED Certificate
- Vocational/Specialized Training in Electrical Field
- 1–2 years’ experience in Data Entry
- 1–2 years’ knowledge of purchasing procedures
- Enrollment in the Apprenticeship Program required
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License, Class “A” or “B” with Hazmat Endorsement (subject to motor-vehicle review)
- Journeyman
- High School Diploma or GED Certificate
- Vocational/Specialized Training
- Journeyman Certification
- 5–7 years’ experience in customer service, data entry, and warehouse operations
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License, Class “A” or “B” with Hazmat Endorsement (subject to motor-vehicle review)
Responsibilities
- Helper
- Check items to be shipped against work orders to ensure quantities, destination, and routing are correct
- Inspect incoming orders to verify type, quantity, and condition
- Identify and mark parts and material with stock number, price, and quantity; store in predetermined location
- Post receipts and issues of materials to appropriate records
- Order parts and materials for stock and immediate use
- Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse
- Route incoming goods to proper departments
- Unpack and sort incoming merchandise
- Load or unload material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies from vehicles
- Assist in physical inventory
- Reject damaged goods and correspond with shipper to adjust damages or shortages
- Check materials against vendors’ invoices, bills of lading, customer orders, and similar papers
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Apprentice
- Identify and mark parts and material with stock number, price, and quantity; store in predetermined location

- Prepare documentation for shipment of materials and parts
- Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse

- Verify correctness of incoming shipments against bills of lading; maintain records of goods received

- Participate in assembling and shipping outgoing merchandise or material

- Journeyman
- Supervise receiving and storing of material, equipment, merchandise, and supplies
- Order parts and materials for stock and immediate use
- Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse
- Check materials against vendors’ invoices, bills of lading, customer orders, and similar papers
- Develop and recommend improvements in office and warehouse practices to promote efficiency, faster service, and lower cost
- Identify and mark parts and material with stock number, price, and quantity; store in predetermined location
- Recruit, select, and train warehouse employees
- Post receipts and issues of materials to appropriate records
- Assist in physical inventory
- Inspect incoming materials against orders and specifications for correctness, quantity, type, and defects
- Arrange for return of defective material
- Route incoming goods to proper departments
- Unpack and sort incoming merchandise
- Load or unload material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies from vehicles
- Reject damaged goods and correspond with shipper to adjust damages or shortages
- Participate in assembling and shipping outgoing merchandise or material
- Issue vehicle and equipment parts to vehicle shop personnel based on approved requisition forms
- Perform other duties as assigned
