Material Coordinator - Fort Wayne, IN

About the Role

RHI Magnesita is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Material Coordinator to support our Steel business. In this role, you will serve as the critical link between our customers, Sales team, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Operations, ensuring refractory materials are available when and where they are needed. The Material Coordinator plays a key role in inventory management, material planning, logistics coordination, and customer support. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced industrial environment, enjoys solving problems, and takes pride in delivering exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate refractory material inventories to support steel manufacturing customers.
• Translate customer demand forecasts into material requirements and communicate needs to production facilities.
• Monitor inventory levels, consumption patterns, and forecasts to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing shortages and excess inventory.
• Create, track, and manage purchase requisitions, transfer orders, and replenishment requests.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and transactions within ERP systems such as SAP.
• Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies to ensure data integrity.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with production plants, warehouses, logistics providers, and transportation partners.
