About the role
The Material Coordinator at Tunista Logistics Solutions LLC is responsible for expediting the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between sections or departments. They also interface and respond to both internal and external customer inquiries and complaints, providing mission support for Kirtland AFB tenant units.
Responsibilities
- Processes incoming customer requests
- Interfaces and responds to both internal and external customer inquiries and complaints
- Provides mission support for the Kirtland AFB tenant units
- Updates all computer databases related to equipment tracking and reporting
- Interfaces with base equipment custodians and ensures appropriate documentation is current
- Trains other supply personnel and equipment custodians when requested
- Tracks and reports unfavorable supply process trends
- Interacts with higher headquarters on equipment questions
- Trains equipment custodians
- Affords responsibility for the entire Equipment Management program on Kirtland AFB
- Performs equipment account inventories base wide daily
- Responsible for Stock Control (transportation, listings, D04, K350, AWP documentation, rejection items, SDR’s, etc. as required by IAW 23-101, SOW and other AF directive)
- Maintains Kirtland AFB bench stock accounts
- Ensures inventory balances are being met
- Provides customer support using ES-S, Assent Management, IMDS and other AF websites
- Provides technical assistance to supply customers
- Processes requisitioning actions
- Interfaces with source of supply for stock availability status
- Proves in-depth analysis regarding materials management when requested or directed
- Researches all references related to MICAP processes
- The Material Coordinator may be required to perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a materials coordinator, shipping / receiving, inventory control or other related field
- Previous experience using a forklift or other material handling equipment is preferred
- Ability to lift 75 pounds
- Must be able to pass a drug and background screening
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance
Skills
- Intermediate computer skills specifically using Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to learn additional computer skills or software programs
- Ability to enter data accurately into databases
- Ability to understand and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to generate routine reports and correspondence
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff
- Must be trustworthy
- Will routinely handle confidential information
- Ability to use general office equipment such as fax, phone, copier, etc.
