Overview
Performs physical or administrative tasks involved in shipping, receiving, storing, distributing, and order fulfillment of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Supports receiving, stocking, and shipping functions, including document verification, inventory placement, and system updates.
- Ensures proper management of hazardous waste materials, including collection, labeling, documentation, and shipment coordination.
- Maintains compliance with safety standards by monitoring chemical usage and replenishing stock as required.
- Affixes to the preparation and shipment of hazardous materials, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Operates material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Manages direct and indirect inventory, focusing on accuracy, control, and optimization of on-hand stock.
- Drives continuous improvement initiatives to increase on-time inventory performance and operational efficiency.
Physical Demands And Work Environment
- A shift schedule (6am to 6pm; Sunday-Wednesday): some overtime required, including weekends, and the ability to respond to emergencies as needed.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to work continuously in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks within a cross-functional team setting.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities)
- High School Diploma or equivalent, AS degree or 2-4 years of equivalent experience preferred.
- Valid California Driver’s License to operate a forklift.
- Computer skills: able to use Microsoft Suite – Email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- A fast learner, able to adapt to the culture and the technology; self-motivated, able to multitask, pay attention to detail, and able to work with minimal supervision once trained.
Pay Range
N30-USA-1 :$24.80 - $31.00
