Material Coordinator
About the role
The Material Coordinator position is located in Fallbrook, CA. Reporting to the Program Manager, this role involves maintaining accountability of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and company property, processing supply requisitions, managing the lifecycle of materiel, and optimizing warehouse layout.
Responsibilities
- Maintain 100% accountability of GFE and company property
- Process supply requisitions
- Manage the full lifecycle of materiel from receipt through final DLA disposition
- Arrange and accelerate flow of equipment, materials, parts, assemblies, and other materials according to schedules or priorities
- Compile and keep manual or computerized records
- Check schedules and related information and confer with others to identify overdue materials and track material on the TOSS contract
- Process supply requests, manage purchase orders, and validate financial/inventory data using commercial or government ERP systems
- Conduct cyclical and annual physical inventories to ensure strict accountability of all GFP and CAP
- Manage the demilitarization (DEMIL) and turn-in process for excess, damaged, or obsolete government property to DLA Disposition Services
- Utilize the Electronic Turn-in Document (ETIDS) system
- Maintain auditable, audit-ready records of all supply transactions
- Prepare standard military/contractor transfer and disposal forms (e.g., DD Form 1348-1A, DD Form 1149)
- Ensure compliance with FAR property clauses
- Provide general labor to set up test ranges and assist customers with other labor needs
- Bid and proposal support if requested
Requirements
- An active secret clearance is required
- An HS Diploma is required
- Three (3) years of experience providing supply chain management, warehousing, or inventory control, preferably within a government contracting or defense environment
- Basic computer literacy and data entry skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills
- Strong time management skills
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment
- Travel Required 10% travel required
Qualifications
- Expertise in standard commercial ERP/WMS software, as well as familiarity with government electronic disposal systems (ETIDS) is desired
- An advanced technical training or a degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration is a plus
- Prior military logistics experience (such as MOS 3043, 3051, or equivalent in other branches) is highly valued but not required
