Our work depends on a Material Coordinator joining our team to coordinate and expedite flow of material, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules or department supervisors' priorities.

How a Material Coordinator Will Make an Impact

  • Review production schedules and confer with department supervisors to determine material required or overdue and to locate material; requisition material and establish delivery sequences to departments according to job order priorities and anticipated availability of material
  • Arrange for in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules, and coordinate with department supervisors for repair and assembly of material and its transportation to various departments
  • Examine material delivered to production departments to verify if type specified
  • Monitor and control movement of material and parts along conveyor system, using remote-control panel board
  • Compute amount of material needed for specific job orders, applying knowledge of product and manufacturing processes and using adding machine
  • Compile report of quantity and type of material on hand
  • Move or transport material from one department to another, using hand or industrial truck
  • May compile perpetual production records in order to locate material in process of production, using manual or computerized system, and maintain employee records
  • Work requires regular and recurring physical exertion, such as long periods of standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and similar activities in and around distribution areas on a concrete floor

What You'll Need to Succeed

Education: High School Diploma/GED

Required Experience: 1+ years of related experience

Required Technical Skills: Ability to operate various warehouse material handling equipment (MHE) including stock chasers, electric cars, stretch wrapping machines, pallet jacks, rate shop systems/shipping systems, dollies, hand trucks, electrically powered stand up forklifts, order fulfillment systems, and mobile scanners

Attributes for Success: Good communication skills and works well in a team oriented environment

Location: Onsite in Golden, Colorado

Security Clearance Level: Must be able to pass a NACI Tier 1 Background Investigation and must be a US Person (Green Card Holder/US Permanent Resident Alien, Refugee, Asylee or US Citizen)

Pay

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $22.97 - $31.07. Salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
