About the role
Material Coordinator at C.H. Guenther & Son, a leading food manufacturing company.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor the flow of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods to ensure timely production and delivery.
- Work closely with procurement, production, and logistics teams to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Track material usage and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Generate and analyze reports on material availability, shortages, and excess stock.
- Assist in the development and implementation of inventory control procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance material handling and storage processes.
- Communicate with suppliers to resolve delivery issues and ensure on-time receipt of materials.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or relevant certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in material coordination, inventory control, or a related role in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
