Material Coordinator 1st shift
Eaton’s IS VEH VGNA division is seeking a Material Coordinator on 1st shift in Indianapolis, IN.
Pay
The hourly rate for this position is $25 plus a $1 shift differential per hour. Please note the salary information shown is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Schedule
Core hours for this role are 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM. Must be able to work specific shift hours and have flexibility to work overtime based on customer demand.

About the role
The material coordinators are responsible for verifying material availability, creating work orders, and coordinating customer deliveries to meet customer expectations. Support with all customer inquiries and promise ship dates.
Responsibilities
- Utilize clear to build / clear to ship reports / ERP system to confirm material availability.
- Systematically release work orders to warehouse floor.
- Create customer deliveries per schedule and pick-up date.
- Address various internal and external customer questions and concerns regarding shipments, billing, status, services, carriers, and other needs.
- Track orders and shipments and assist with tracing as needed.
- Work collaboratively with GTM team and support in resolving customer trade inquiries.
- Assist with running and summarizing operational reports and details; present information to peers or supervisors as needed.
- Investigate and resolve internal customer complaints / discrepancies with shipments and participate in corrective actions to prevent future errors.
- Follow written and oral instructions.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures including good housekeeping.
- Maintain quality workmanship, observe safety procedures, report unsafe acts, and perform work of equal or lower classification if necessary.
- Supports and participates in continuous improvement initiatives including 5S (sort, set, shine, standardize, and sustain).
- Capable of managing multiple tasks without losing efficiency or productivity.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Basic knowledge of WMS and inventory management systems.
- Basic to Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, Internet, web-based and job-specific software applications.
- Ability to communicate potential concerns and/or customer delays.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
- Only candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of Indianapolis, IN will be considered (Active-Duty Military exempt from geographical limitation).
- Relocation is not provided.
Qualifications
- Oracle ERP/WMS experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in a warehouse/distribution center environment.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
