About the role

With 120 years of mission support, we improve security, streamline logistics, and enhance readiness. The Material Coordinator collaborates with planning, logistics, and factory operations to ensure work orders begin with everything required for successful execution, including resolving material shortages and maintaining data integrity within our systems. This role supports overall schedule adherence, drives material readiness, and contributes to production stability through proactive coordination and real-time inventory control.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and verify delivery of materials and documentation to production.
  • Ensure readiness of orders by reviewing work orders and material availability.
  • Monitor and track work order progress, addressing barriers to ensure timely completion.
  • Proactively identify and resolve material shortages or discrepancies before impact to production.
  • Update ERP systems with accurate material movements, completions, and adjustments.
  • Use carts, bins, and material handling equipment as required.
  • Adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements based on area assignments.

Working Environment

  • Primarily performed on the production floor with frequent walking, standing, and material handling.
  • Occasional lifting of items up to 40 pounds.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in materials coordination, production control, or inventory operations.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain an Active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • One year of related experience may substitute for one year of education if a degree is required.

Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions, part numbers, and bill of materials.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills to work across multiple teams and departments.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, S4HANA, Oracle, or equivalent (desired).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and Outlook (desired).
  • Understanding of basic manufacturing workflows and inventory control practices (desired).
