What You'll Do

  • Dispatch materials to and from designated areas, ensuring DOT compliance is maintained for moves, and initiate waybills and other transportation-related documents to accompany materials, meeting safety and security requirements for transport of components, assemblies, and materials.
  • Track and document weights of material before and after production operations.
  • Process, prepare, and verify all inbound and outbound shipment documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Inspect materials before and after shipments to verify, inspect, identify, and tag materials according to shipment documentation.
  • Track and communicate the status of all shipments to appropriate personnel.
  • Support area operations in the oversight of loading and unloading activities and proper storage of materials upon receipt.
  • Work with plant computer data systems (such as LIMS, SAP, ME, and DYMCAS) to obtain/resolve inventory discrepancies, correct errors, and document part movement and locations.
  • Ensure all shipment and transportation documentation is correctly filed and retrievable in accordance with procedures and specific guidelines.
  • Work overtime and shift work as required to support production schedules.

Requirements

  • High School diploma and a minimum of one year of experience in manufacturing, shipping/receiving, and/or inventory tracking.
  • Ability to enter data and navigate various computer systems with minimal error or oversight.
  • Ability to take direction easily and communicate the same direction to others.
  • Ability to work around sensitive and/or hazardous material.
  • Position requires entry into Materials Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (HRP). HRP must be granted and maintained.
  • Must complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph pursuant to 10CFR 709.
  • Must meet the requirements of DOE O 426.2A (High School diploma or equivalent).
  • Requires a Q clearance; ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required. All qualified candidates will be considered regardless of current clearance status.
  • U.S. citizenship is required for security clearance applicants.
  • Must pass a pre-placement physical, drug screening, and background investigation.
  • Subject to random drug testing without advance notification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of weights and measures.
  • Familiarity with inventory control, invoices, bills of lading, packing lists, and shipment/receipt documentation.
