Material Control Technician

Duties

Provides supply operation support pertaining to specialized or unique supplies, equipment, and parts requiring unusual degrees of protection in shipment and storage, or other items that are unique to the organization’s mission or are seldom handled.

Conducts extensive searches for information pertaining to complex and/or unusual supply transactions and patterns.

Provides supply support for production, overhaul, repair, or other operations for equipment and/or parts requiring special handling.

Reviews requisitions, supporting documents, and reference material to determine if priority supply action is required, the status of the action, changes in requirements, and unexpected requirements.

Expedites delivery of urgently required items through correspondence and/or telephone calls to inventory control points, manufacturers, or other organizations.

Determines stock level needs for non-recurring, specialized items based on usage, inventory, project demands, seasonal demands, changing customer needs, and projected depletion.

Conducts extensive and exhaustive research of catalog databases and information to locate more cost effective available substitutes and new products.

Requirements

• Must have a driver’s license for the location of employment
• Must have effective written and verbal communication skills in English
• Must be proficient in the use of MS Office software, including but not limited to: MS Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word

Clearance

Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance

Pay

The projected compensation range for this position is $80,000-$85,000. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
