Material Clerk

About the role

Responsible for all inventory-related functions of aircraft parts, tooling and related materials in a warehouse environment. Handle critical aircraft-on-ground (AOG) situations in a timely manner.

Minimum Education

• High School diploma/GED

Minimum Experience

• One (1) year experience as a parts clerk/warehouse agent or tool room attendant in warehousing or distribution center preferred
• Experience in shipping and receiving preferred
• Experience operating forklifts, order pickers, pallet jacks and reach trucks preferred

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Demonstrated knowledge of DOT, FAA, IATA, OSHA & other applicable regulatory requirements including but not limited to shipping, handling, or inspecting dangerous goods or other federally regulated materials preferred
• Experience operating company vehicles and material handling equipment; operating forklifts, order pickers, pallet jacks and reach trucks preferred
• Ability to use Microsoft Office software
• Good data entry skills
• Good human relations and communication skills

Job Conditions

• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and to maneuver any single container of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person
• Must be able to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must satisfactorily complete all required training
• Non-covered safety-sensitive position; Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
