Job Responsibilities
- Aid in the implementation, documentation, and improvement activities of the company’s ERP software.
- Review administrative reports generated from the ERP software to monitor departmental performance according to company objectives.
- Maintain database information accuracy by monitoring ERP software input.
- Develop and implement ERP software classes for Norplas team member training.
- Assist in periods of high workload, training, or vacation periods by establishing and maintaining EDI software interfaces with customers and suppliers.
- Provide backup to Sales Administrator for creating and maintaining bills of material, routings, and shop floor system activities.
- Aid in the development and documentation of material control processes and procedures to enhance production departmental performance and meet QS-9000 and other company requirements.
- Participate in continuous improvement programs and QS-9000 activities to ensure departmental and company objectives are met.
- Develop and participate in computer system solutions to increase communication and decrease non-value added activities.
- Develop and participate in supplier agreements and bid specification packages and selection of suppliers to Norplas.
- Maintain inventory turn and other defined criteria for material management performance within each department.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree required.
- Six years work-related experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
- Minimum three years experience in a fast-paced work environment with scheduling and materials management responsibilities.
- Demonstrated understanding of MRP, production support systems, and Windows NT.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks to timely completion.
Physical Requirements
- Standing or walking for a minimum of eight (8) hours a day.
- Lifting up to 15 pounds on a frequent basis and up to 40 pounds on an occasional basis.
- Performing work below the knees and above the shoulders on an occasional basis.
- Repetitive motion for four (4) to six (6) hours a day.
- Good vision for close distances.
