About the Role

The role will drive purchasing and material management. The analyst will drive improvements in material turns, storage, packaging, and customer delivery. The position will require a significant interface with Suppliers, Customer Service, Production, Procurement, Quality, Engineering and Manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Manage MRP to ensure timely receipt of materials to meet production schedules.
  • Track the progress of materials and expedite as required.
  • Manage Kanban’s to meet production and inventory targets.
  • Manage the master schedule to meet demand and inventory targets.
  • Manage inventory levels to meet goals.
  • Identify and resolve issues that impact on-time delivery.
  • Work in conjunction with production, customer service, sales, suppliers, and procurement to meet customer requirements including short LT and expedited requests.
  • Cross-trained in other positions in the department.
  • Other duties/projects as assigned by the Materials Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience
  • 3 years’ experience in Materials Management
  • Strong computer and skills, proficient in Excel
  • Capable of utilizing Lean tools such as Kanban, VSM, pull systems, demand driven Supply Chain and Perfect Execution strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with MS Office Suite, and Enterprise Resource Program such as SAP, Oracle, or JDE.

Qualifications

  • Legal work authorization in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.

Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management preferred
  • Excellent communication skills in English / Spanish
  • Knowledge of ISO QMS
  • Knowledge of Manhattan WMS
