Position Summary
As an LPN at our facility, you'll play a hands-on role in delivering care to a vulnerable population under the guidance of RNs and medical providers. You'll provide skilled nursing services to incarcerated individuals with opioid use disorders at the New Mexico Corrections Department (NMCD).
Responsibilities
- Administering medications and treatments as ordered
- Aiding in activities of daily living and therapeutic interventions
- Taking vital signs and monitoring patient conditions
- Providing wound care and changing dressings
- Serving as a vital part of a multidisciplinary treatment team
Requirements
- Active unrestricted LPN license and 1-2 years of nursing experience (correctional experience preferred)
- Active CPR certification
- Strong clinical and communication skills; adaptability in high-pressure settings
- A compassionate, nonjudgmental approach to patient care
