About the Masterclass

An opportunity to engage with one of today’s most influential contemporary jazz guitarists. The masterclass with Rez Abbasi focuses on improvisation, interplay, composition, modern language, and real-time interaction in ensemble settings. Open to all instruments, the session will explore modern improvisation, personal language development, trio interaction, and the musical dynamics of professional contemporary contexts.

Rez Abbasi will be joined by Camillo Pace on double bass and Ananda Gari on drums, with whom he collaborates regularly in this artistic project.

Instructors

• Rez Abbasi – Guitar. Leader of the project and a key figure in international contemporary jazz.
• Camillo Pace – Double bass. Active on the Italian and international jazz scene, long-time collaborator of Ananda Gari. Has performed with artists such as Paolo Fresu, Dado Moroni, Javier Girotto, Bobby McFerrin, Michael Rosen, and Antonio Faraò.
• Ananda Gari – Drums. Drummer and composer with a long-standing artistic collaboration with Rez Abbasi, documented on the album T-Duality released by Auand Records alongside Tim Berne and Michael Formanek.
