Master Scheduler Full-time
About the role
The Master Scheduler at Senior Aerospace SSP is responsible for leading the execution of business goals, processes, and programs, particularly in material management. They are expected to solve problems, develop objectives, and manage sales backlog and revenue goals.
Responsibilities
- Prioritize sales orders on the Master Production Schedule using capacity planning tools according to customer requirements and company guidelines.
- Become proficient with the SSP’s ERP/MRP system, serving as an expert in the field.
- Ensure long-term planning of production requirements and take appropriate actions or reschedule assembly orders when necessary due to shortages.
- Work with the Contracts Department to meet customer commitments and address order scheduling issues.
- Propose and secure approval for recovery plans for delinquent orders when standard lead times are insufficient.
- Utilize business forecasts with accessible and transparent data, providing quotes for current lead times and build rates for RFQs, including AOGs.
- Apply Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements and assist leads in analyzing data.
- Partner with the logistics team to ensure timely product delivery.
- Monitor and report on production forecast loads and capacities, facilitating robust scheduling discussions.
- Follow all Senior policies and procedures.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area adhering to safety standards and quality practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field with at least 5 years of relevant experience in scheduling, production control, expediting manufacturing, or engineering.
- Training in specialized business/production control methods and procedures, as well as lean manufacturing courses and six sigma courses, are preferred.
Benefits
Annual target salary: $130k
Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm
