About the role

The Master Scheduler is responsible for the development, release, and maintenance of program master schedules, functional operating schedules, and order release schedules. This role oversees master scheduling, incorporating material and plant fabrication lead times, historical data, and capacity inputs. The Master Scheduler II also coordinates the Sales, Inventory, and Operations planning process, capacity review cycles (machine and manpower), and the scheduling team’s functions, including critical evaluation of efficiency and utilization factors.

This position requires significant interaction with schedulers and plant personnel to ensure schedule accuracy and feasibility, providing feedback to support manufacturing throughput, customer requirements, and sales commitments.

Responsibilities

• Develop, release, and maintain program master schedules, functional operating schedules, and order release schedules.
• Incorporate material and plant fabrication lead times, historical data, and capacity inputs into scheduling.
• Coordinate the Sales, Inventory, and Operations (SIOP) planning process and capacity review cycles (machine and manpower).
• Evaluate efficiency and utilization factors to optimize scheduling.
• Collaborate with schedulers and plant personnel to ensure schedule accuracy and feasibility.
• Provide feedback to support manufacturing throughput, customer requirements, and sales commitments.
• Proficiently use Microsoft Office, with superior proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Utilize ERP systems effectively.
• Understand manufacturing processes and associated workflows.
• Promote a participative, team-oriented environment while working professionally with internal and external customers, subordinates, vendors, and others.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years of production scheduling experience.
• Aerospace industry knowledge is preferred.
• Previous leadership experience and APICS Certification are preferred.
• Knowledge of Production Operations, Production Control, Scheduling, Distribution, Inventory Management, Re-Order Points (ROP), and MRP is helpful.
